The Global Responsible AI community successfully launched in Melbourne with an amazing event that drew a packed audience. The event focused on the emergence of Generative AI, its current applications, and the potential risks and opportunities associated with AI in Australia.
The speakers at the event included Vicki L. Hanson, Ghislaine Entwisle, Sveta Freidman, Rita Arrigo, Kaushalya Gunatilaka, and Adrian Pearce. They provided valuable insights and engaged in discussions about the advancements in Generative AI and its impact on various industries.
The event was made possible thanks to the efforts of numerous individuals and organizations. Oracle Database served as the launch partner, while Boab AI, ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), AI4Diversity, National AI Centre, Artesian (Alternative Investments), Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions, Cremorne Digital Hub, Bo English-Wiczling Protiviti Australia, and the University of Melbourne sponsored and partnered to support the event.
This event marked only the beginning of the Global Responsible AI community’s initiatives in Australia and worldwide. There are more exciting developments and events to come in the future, aiming to further explore and promote responsible and ethical AI practices.
